Frequently Asked Questions
Is ioJot free?
Yes. Core features — notes, voice memos, lists, search and on-device transcription — are free. Optional paid features may be added in the future, in line with store policies.
Where are my notes stored?
By default, only on your own device. You can turn on end-to-end encrypted cloud backup from Settings; in that case only an encrypted (unreadable) copy is uploaded.
Are my voice memos transcribed? Who sees them?
Transcription runs entirely on your device; your recording or its transcript is never sent to our server.
How do I delete my account?
Inside the app: Settings > Account > "Delete account" deletes it instantly. If you no longer have the app installed, use the web form on the Delete Account page.
Is my data safe?
Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2, cloud backups are encrypted end-to-end with AES-256-GCM, and all communication runs over TLS. See the Privacy Policy for details.
